🚗 How to Get There

  • Drive towards Nikšić
  • Follow the signs for Ostrog Monastery
  • The final part of the road is narrow and winding, totally safe but still drive carefully as you always do
  • There is a big parking lot near the Monastery, so dont worry you will have a place to park on a safe place.

🕐 Travel time: approximately 25 – 40mins, depending on traffic

If you want us to drive you there and wait for 1 or 2 hours, you can talk with the stuff so we can arrange the ride. This is charged extra.

👕 Dress Code & Visitor Tips

Ostrog is an active religious site, and visitors are encouraged to dress respectfully.

  • It is recommended to wear long pants and avoid revealing clothing
  • This is a sign of respect for the monastery and its traditions

👉 If you arrive wearing shorts, don’t worry — at the entrance, the staff usually provides cloth coverings that you can wrap around yourself.

Additional tips:

  • Wear comfortable shoes
  • Bring water, especially in summer
  • Be prepared for some walking and stairs
